Spider slope stabilization systems are an active protection system consisting of a spider spiral rope mesh and a high tensile steel mesh, both of which are made of a high tensile strength wire with a better harness and tensile strength for bearing large impact forces from landslides, rockfalls, avalanches and debris flow.
Spider slope stabilization systems are primarily used for landslide prevention, rockfall protection, secure loose, blocky rocks, rock spurs, debris flow, avalanche prevention, and unstable rock formations. It features an excellent adaptability, allowing it to be used on any surface, no matter how irregular it is in structure.
Components of the Spider Slope Stabilization System
Spider spiral rope mesh
It is made of three high tensile steel wires 3.0mm / 4.0mm with a tensile strength ≥1770Mpa, a common mesh size of 164x270mm (+/-5%) 180x300mm(+/-5%) and 292x500mm (+/-5%). Spider spiral rope mesh has high tensile strength and load capacity for slope protection.
High tensile steel mesh
The high tensile steel mesh is 3.0mm/4.0 mm diameter and aperture 83x143mm / 102x177 mm / 65x65mm. All the high tensile steel meshes are made of hot-dipped galvanized steel wires or 95%Zn/5%-10%Al coated steel wires, guaranteeing a corrosion and rust resistant performance.
Different from the tecco mesh system in which anchors are a wire rope anchor, the spider slope stabilization system is equipped with a reinforced steel bar anchor with a better hardness and stability. One side of the rebar anchor has threads and features a diameter of 25 or 28mm according to customer needs.
Anchor Spike Plate
It is a claw type anchor spike plate, bent on four sides, allowing the anchor plate to more firmly attach to the slope. The anchor plate is larger than 320 × 180mm (330 x 205mm) and the plate thickness is thicker than 8mm.
This sewing rope functions similar to a boundary rope and is also made of a steel wire rope. It is used to sew together neighboring spider spiral mesh and chain link meshes.
The boundary rope is used to enclose the four sides of the spider spiral rope mesh. It is made of steel wire rope with a diameter thicker than 12mm. The most common diameter is 14 or 16mm according to customer needs, while the length is shortened by 40m. Both sides of the rope are equipped with a steel wire rope anchor.
